Become a sponsor The University of Oregon Solar Radiation Monitoring Laboratory is a regional solar radiation data center. Our primary purpose is to provide and archive high quality, sound solar resource information that will be available as solar electricity is integrated into the region's energy mix. Solar radiation data are a key component of the infrastructure that enables appropriate deployment of solar electric technologies, just as stream flow data are necessary for the development, planning, and operation of hydroelectric systems. There are three levels of sponsorship available: Contributor The contributor is anyone who donates funds to the University of Oregon Solar Radiation Monitoring Laboratory (UO SRML). The contributor would get a listing on the sponsorship page as a contributor and publications sent out during the year. Contributions can be made in either directly to the UO SRML or through the University of Oregon foundation to the UO SRML account. Sponsor The sponsor is an agency, company, foundation, or person that contributes $5,000 or more. Sponsors get listed on the sponsorship page along with a brief description of their related activities and can obtain some advise on solar resource assessment topics. Sponsors also get a copy of the "Solar Angle Calculator" PC based Excel add-in used by the UO SRML for analysis of the UO SRML solar radiation database and estimation of PV performance. Major Sponsor The major sponsor is an agency, company, foundation, or person that contributes $25,000 or more. The major sponsor gets all the privileges of the sponsor plus recognition on our Web site home page and other UO SRML activities. The major sponsor automatically becomes part of the UO SRML advisory committee that helps plan and direct the activities of the UO SRML. © 2004, UO Solar Radiation Monitoring Laboratory.
